On my front door, there hangs a white piece of paper scribed with Times New Roman 60 point font black ink. The paper reads:
Peace starts with a smile.
-Mother Theresa
I arrived at my house last week to find a painting leaning against my front door. The painting, an elaborate design in contemporary graffiti style, had a message scrawled into the foreground. At first glance, I was unable to read the words.
After a second and third look, the clandestine writing became legible to me - it was Mother Theresa's quote. A smile stretched across my face, then tears, then another smile. Never had I been given a more meaningful gift. Never had a gift come at a better time. Who could have known how much I needed that?
